The garden is large and guests can use it at all times. There is a barbeque for guests use.

3. Do I need to bring linen, utensils etc for the self catering apartment?
All apartments are equipped with their own kitchens and utensils. Bed linen and towels are provided , included in the price of the apartment and changed one a week.

4. What time can I move into the apartment on the day of arrival?
Guests are asked not to arrive before 17.00 ( 5 p.m.) on the day of arrival and to depart no later than 10.00 (a.m.) on the day of departure.

5. Do I need to bring my own swimming towels?
Guests are asked to bring their own swimming towels.

6. Is there parking for guests?
There is ample private, free parking for guests on the property.

7. How big is the swimming pool?
The swimming pool at La Fonte is 12 metres by 7 metres The shallow end is 1 metres deep and the deep end is 2 metres deep.The pool is for the use of guests staying at La Fonte only.

8. What electric voltage can I use?
Electric voltage is 220 v

9. Do you have a cot for babies to use?
A baby cot and highchair are available on request.

10. Can I have the apartment cleaned during my stay at La Fonte?
If guests want a mid week cleaning service, this can be arranged.

11. Can I do laundry at La Fonte?
A laundry service is available for guests on request.

12. Are there telephones in the apartments?
There are no telephones in the apartments and no public phone. Guests are asked to use their cell phones.

13. Is there satellite TV in the apartments?
There is satellite TV in each apartment.

There is no air conditioning in the apartments, the walls are very thick and provide good insulation.

La Fonte is situated in the countryside. La Fonte is 8 km from San Gimignano. The nearest town is Certaldo – 4 km from La Fonte.

16. Where are the nearest shops to La Fonte?
In Certaldo there is very good local shopping – supermarket, banks, internet cafè etc.

17. What public transport is available?
There is no public bus service which passes La Fonte. There is a railway station in Certaldo for easy access to Florence,Siena etc. There is a public bus service at Certaldo to all local and non local destinations. A taxi service is available from Certaldo and San Gimignano.

18. Can I hire bicycles etc?
Bicycles, motorbikes and cars can be hired in San Gimignano.

There are numerous restaurants, cafès, pizzerias etc near La Fonte to suit all budgets.

20. Can I play golf, tennis or go riding?
There is a small golf course in Certaldo, a very big course at Castelfalfi ( 20 km from La Fonte) and tennis courts in Certaldo. Horse riding is available in Certaldo, San Gimignano and Fiano.

21. How do I pay for my stay at La Fonte?
Guests can pay by credit card ( not AMEX)

22. What is the booking cancellation policy at La Fonte?
A non refundable booking deposit of 30% of the total booking is requested. The balance of the payment is due 30 days before guests’ arrival.
No booking money is refunded if guests cancel their reservation 30 days before arrival.
